Michael Thorek

Having founded Thorek/Scott and Partners over three decades ago,Michael Thorek has been shepherding its growth ever since. Together with his wife, Michael has been dedicated to building a business with humanity, innovation, and excellence at its core. A specialist in the recruitment of talent for the Financial Services Industry, Michael has currently been turning his interest towards the field of RiskManagement, Capital Markets and Database Marketing Analytics. A jack of many trades, Michael is also a father, inventor, scholar and scribe,who possess a keen interest in comparative religions.

Faye Thorek

Faye Thorek is an accomplished Executive Search consultant with over 30 years of experience in the Canadian market. Known for her keen insight and compassionate dedication to her work, Faye envisions herself as an advocate for those with whom she conducts business. Over the years, Faye has consulted numerous companies on how to best craft their strategic vision and then taken the lead on servicing that mandate. She has spoken on recruitment and search issues to a wide range of audiences including MillerDallas and KWA.

Outside of the office, Faye is also a committed investor in people. She does volunteer work for Out of the Cold, Kids.now, and Bereaved Families of Ontario. She has sat on the Professional Development Steering Committee at HRPAO. She is a former member of the Board at BFO and currently sits on the Board of the North York Harvest Food Bank.

Jordan Beallor, CA

Having spent more than a decade in global professional services firms advising senior executives and boards, Jordan Beallor leverages his strong technical, industry and client service expertise to provide value added recruitment solutions to his clients. Specializing in front to back office recruitment in the financial services sector, Jordan has specific expertise in finance and risk management. Jordan also places top tier candidates in finance, risk and compliance roles across industry sectors.

Prior to joining Thorek/Scott and Partners, Jordan Beallor spent over 12 years providing assurance, risk management and consulting services within Arthur Andersen's financial services practice and Grant Thornton's business risk services practice. Jordan's clients have included wholesale banks, pension funds, wealth managers, asset managers, retail and mortgage banks, trusts, credit unions and insurance companies. Throughout his career he has also worked with companies across multiple industry sectors.

Jordan is actively involved in several professional associations. He was appointed to, and currently sits on the Applications Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO) and the Membership Committee of Financial Executives International (FEI), Toronto Chapter. Jordan is also an active member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA).

Jordan Beallor is a Chartered Accountant and holds an honours bachelor's degree in chartered accountancy studies and an economics degree from the University of Waterloo.

Sonya Danzig

Linda Nugent

An accomplished recruitment professional, Linda Nugent utilizes her diverse background in various banking and finance sectors to enhance Thorek/Scott and Partners' financial services practice. Equipped with an extensive banking background ranging from securitization, structured finance, project finance, leverage finance to asset based lending; Linda employs her hands-on experience and market intelligence to present top caliber candidates to clients.

Jennifer Reece

Jennifer Reece brings to bear seven years of senior level recruitment experience specializing in Accounting and Finance roles to her practice at Thorek/Scott and Partners. Aaron Collins

Aaron Collins began his career in recruitment after completing a Psychology Degree at the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Degree in Sociology at York University. Debbie Skibinsky

Debbie Skibinsky brings invaluable practical exposure and market insight to her role at Thorek/Scott and Partners. A seasoned finance professional with 15+ years of experience in the Finance industry, Debbie held roles of increasing seniority in Private Wealth Management, Derivatives, Securitization and Asset/Liability Management before joining Thorek/Scott and Partners.
